Venice, Italy

We took a two day road trip to Venice. Headed out Sunday morning and drove about four and a half hours to get to Venice. It. Was. Hot!! About 90 degrees with something like 1000% humidity! It was beautiful though.

Headed to the beach on the island of Lido.. felt like we were on the Jersey Shore! Took a dip into the Adriatic Sea...it was nice, but we were both missing the Pacific Ocean!

 After dinner we watched the Italy/Spain Euro Cup game which unfortunately did not end so well for the Italians. Afterwards, we wandered around the city and found a little restaurant right on the water. We had a bottle of wine and the best lasagna we've ever had!
